Can I use an USB-to-Parallel port adapter (25 pin female connector) in a DOS environment?
Due to some kinds of reasons, I have to use a new laptop to connect to an old 486CPU computer and transfer data through a parallel cable using LL3.EXE. To do this, a DOS environment as well as parallel ports on both computers are required. The thing is that my new laptop does not have a parallel port (25 pin female connector). So, I need a USB-to-Parallel adapter.
My problem is, is the commerical USB-to-Parallel adapters supporting the DOS environment? If not, How can I do for this?
What if I use a PCMCIA-to-Parallel port adapter? Same problem?
I dont thing it will work.
