How do I connect the third controller in a system link game of cod5 nazi zombies. im using 2 xboxes?

I have 2 xboxes connected in system link, they can play together with one person signed in on each xbox. We want to play 4 player with 2 on each system. ive heard its possible. we cant get the 2nd profile to log in on either system. the profiles we are using have all beat the game. NEED HELP! thanks

i dont know if you did this but they have to be signed in before you enter the place where you can choose the map or the nazi zombie level you want to do.
