The box for these rope lights says a maximum of 90 feet, but the cable says 40 feet, what is right?
I was going to put up some rope lights, hoping to connect about 60 feet worth of lights (3 strands). The box said not to exceed 90 feet, but the sticker on the electrical cable says 40 feet. What do I believe?
That is a good question. All of the Christmas lights I have ever bought have always said not to connect more than three strands. I always do, and I've never had any problem. I just worry it might be a fire hazard? I might post this as a question in Christmas, too.
