can i give a xbox with RROD in to the store where a brought it, on the last day of warranty?
my xbox is fine but i wondering and worrying knowing i have problems before i thought "i bet the next day after the warranty expires it's gonna get RROD" so can i purposely give it RROD i.e by shacking it or something. So can i give it back to them on the last and if i do will Microsoft repair it
Technically yes, you could open up your xbox and remove the thermal paste between the heatsink and gpu, giving the xbox the RROD. Then you could call up microsoft and arrange to send in the xbox on the last day of warranty. I prefer fixing the xbox myself (putting new thermal compound between the gpu, cpu, and heatsinks. This will save you the month you have to wait for microsoft to repair it and is inexpensive. It only takes a few hours and is the exact same thing microsoft would do to fix it. Anyways back to the main question, yes, it would work.
